Description- Campground & Staging Area
Rapids Campground has 25 forested sites adjacent to the Chilliwack River and provides convenient access to local off-road trails. The campground is popular with families who enjoy off road adventures during the day, and campfires with friends at night. The site is monitored and managed by a roaming Host who lives on-site at Chipmunk Peninsula, 2km down the road. Fishing is not permitted on this stretch of the river.
The Staging Area can be used year-round for unloading off-road vehicles and provides access to the Bear Cub Beginner’s Riding Loop (100 cc engine max). All overnight campers and Day-users with campfires are subject to a $17 per day, per-vehicle, cash-only camping fee.

Driving Directions
Follow the Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy 1) east from Vancouver and take Exit 119 onto Vedder Road. Turn left at Chilliwack Lake Road and drive approximately 26.5 km. Turn off the highway onto the Bench Forest Service Road (FSR). At approximately 2 km keep left at the junction and continue on Bench FSR for a total of 6.1 km from the highway. You will pass the Chipmunk Peninsula Recreation Site at approximately 4.3 km. and the Rapids campground is approximately 1.5km further. The Staging Area is slighty before the entrance to the campground.
